Village of Oregon Wisconsin

Bartlet Runey first settled in Oregon in 1841. The first house was built in 1843. Oregon was first known as Rome Corners, but when the Chicago and North Western Transportation Company railroad came through the village in 1864, their maps indicated the villages as Oregon and that name was then adopted and the Village of Oregon was incorporated in 1881.
