Village of Potosi Wisconsin
The Village of Potosi, Grant County, Wisconsin area was first known as Snake Hollow. When lead was found in the area, the miners that came up from Potosi Missouri named the area Potosi. Potosi is the name of a famous Bolivian Silver Mine during the Spanish rule of Bolivia. Potosi is the home of the Potosi Brewing Company and the National Brewery Museum.
